Roord to miss internationals

She-Wolves midfielder will not travel for international duty due to her foot injury.

Jill Roord injured her left metatarsal in December, and having made her competitive comeback in the 4-0 win over SC Freiburg at the weekend, the 25-year-old is again complaining of pain in the affected foot. An MRI scan on Monday did not discover anything new, but Roord faces another spell of rehab. The attacking midfielder has been ruled out of VfL Women’s Bundesliga match away to SGS Essen this Sunday, 12 February (kick-off 13:00 CET), as well as the Dutch national team’s pair of friendlies against Austria on 17 and 21 February. It’s not known how long Roord will be out for in total.
