“We made the wrong decisions”

VfL boss Oliver Glasner reflects on the 3-0 defeat to Gladbach.

The Wolves missed the chance to consolidate their place in the top six after losing 3-0 at the Borussia-Park. Gladbach were more clinical and purposeful over the 90 minutes, with Jonas Hofmann’s first-half brace knocking Oliver Glasner’s charges off their stride. VfL were unable to fight their way back into the match after half-time, while the hosts created further scoring opportunities and ended the game deserved winners.

Oliver Glasner: “Congratulations to Mönchengladbach on a deserved win. We were too error-prone at both ends of the pitch today, and they took full advantage. We got into promising positions in attack but we couldn’t finish them off well enough and often made the wrong decisions. That’s why the win for Gladbach is a fair result. I’m disappointed with our performance because we can do better. Now we need to forget about the result and get our chins up for the game at Schalke on Saturday.”
