Die VfL-Wolfsburg-Spielerinnen jubeln zusammen nach einem Tor.

The She-Wolves cruised to a 9-1 victory in Nuremberg on Saturday afternoon after an action-packed and high-scoring first half. Vivien Endemann gave the Green-and-Whites an early lead in the seventh minute but Vanessa Haim equalised for the hosts five minutes later. However, VfL Women weren’t going to be put off their stride for long and fired in three goals in the space of four minutes shortly after the half-hour mark. The She-Wolves remained hungry for goals in the second half and added five more. The star of the show was striker Ewa Pajor with four goals, including a penalty in the 71st minute, while Alexandra Popp also netted a brace. The other goals came from Chantal Hagel (52’) and Fenna Kalma (81’).

Fans must now wait a while until VfL Women’s next fixture, as an international break begins on Monday 19 February. After that, the Green-and-Whites travel to TSG 1899 Hoffenheim on Tuesday 5 March (18:30 CET) in the quarter-finals of the DFB Cup.
