The 18th Lower Saxony Sports Awards took place on Monday evening, with VfL Women winning the “Team of the Year” category for the fourth time after 2014, 2016 and 2017. Pauline Bremer and Pia-Sophie Wolter accepted the award on behalf of the team. “The trophy will be given pride of place in the dressing room,” announced Wolter.
