Stefaniak loaned to Fürth

Marvin Stefaniak has joined SpVgg Greuther Fürth on a two-year loan deal.

Stefaniak, whose contract at VfL Wolfsburg runs until 2022, will remain with the second-tier side until 30 June 2021. The 24-year-old arrived at the Wolves from Dynamo Dresden ahead of the 2017/18 campaign and spent the second half of that season on loan at 1. FC Nürnberg.

The left-winger made three appearances for the Green-Whites' U23 team in the Regionalliga but has been forced to the sidelines through injury on several occasions, particularly due to thigh muscle complaints.

He is the fourth player to leave the club this summer, following the departures of Paul Verhaegh, Sebastian Jung (both out of contract) and Gian-Luca Itter (SC Freiburg). At Fürth, Stefaniak will link up with former VfL players Paul Seguin and Paul Jaeckel.
