She-Wolves win friendly

VfL Women beat Eintracht Frankfurt 5-2 in a friendly on Friday.

The She-Wolves were in fine form a week before the start of the UEFA Women’s Champions League finals tournament, posting a 5-2 victory over Eintracht Frankfurt in their only pre-season friendly to conclude the team’s training camp in Harsewinkel. The match was played behind closed doors at the Grünberg sports school, where Frankfurt have had their training headquarters. Ewa Pajor and Fridolina Rolfö both hit braces for head coach Stephan Lerch’s side, with Lara Dickenmann also on the scoresheet.

Oberdorf absent with a knock

Three of the Green-and-Whites’ summer signings made their debuts, as Katarzyna Kiedrzynek and Kathrin Hendrich were named in the starting line-up while Pauline Bremer featured in the second half. Lena Oberdorf, who was forced to sit out some of the sessions during the training camp, did not participate due to muscular problems.
