She-Wolves move in

VfL Wolfsburg Women have started their training camp in Portugal.

VfL Women’s preparations for the second half of the season have cranked up, with the current FLYERALARM Women’s Bundesliga leaders moving into their training camp in the Algarve on Wednesday afternoon. It’s already the ninth time that the team have headed to the luxurious hotel complex near the small town of Vila Nova de Cacela to get ready for a successful second half of the campaign.

As well as rigorous training sessions, there are two friendlies on the agenda against FC Twente on 24 January and 1. FFC Frankfurt on 31 January (both 17:00 CET kick-off), before the squad return home on 2 February.

Run to kick things off

After a delayed arrival, a running session was the first item on the schedule. “We’re very well looked after here every year and feel really at home – perfect conditions in which to prepare for an intense and hopefully very successful second half of the season,” said VfL Women sporting director Ralf Kellermann.
