Rolfö joins injury list

VfL Women attacker Fridolina Rolfö has suffered ligament damage in her right foot.

VfL Wolfsburg Women have been dealt another injury blow after Fridolina Rolfö sustained an ankle ligament injury in last Sunday’s 3-0 win at 1. FFC Frankfurt. The Sweden international, who was making her first start for VfL in the FLYERALARM Women’s Bundesliga, has been ruled out for around six weeks. Rolfö was caught on her right ankle in the closing stages of the game.

Alexandra Popp also suffered an ankle ligament injury in the same match and will be out of action for a similar period of time. The league leaders are now without a total of seven players due to injury.
