Rauch signs for She-Wolves

Germany international Felicitas Rauch will join the VfL Wolfsburg Ladies in the summer.

Having secured the services of Svenja Huth earlier this year, the VfL Ladies have brought in another Germany international from 1. FFC Turbine Potsdam after signing 22-year-old Felicitas Rauch on a contract until 30 June 2021.

Rauch, who can play in defence and midfield, has scored 20 goals in 84 Allianz Women’s Bundesliga appearances to date. She first appeared for Germany’s Under-16s in 2012 before helping the Under-20s win the World Cup in 2014, featuring in all their games at the tournament. She has made seven appearances for the full national team after making her debut in 2015.

“Her development isn’t over”

“I can look back on several successful years with Potsdam, but it’s now time to take the next step,” said Rauch. “VfL Wolfsburg are one of the best sides in women’s football and I’m proud to be part of this team.”

“Felicitas already has a lot of experience for a player her age, as she was given a lot of high-level game time early on in her career at Potsdam” added VfL Ladies sporting director Ralf Kellermann. “It’s no coincidence that she’s already been part of the national team for several years and I’m sure her development isn’t over yet. We’re pleased to have signed a player who’s hungry for success and will help improve our team with her qualities on and off the pitch.”
