VfL Women will have to make do without striker Ewa Pajor for the rest of the calendar year. After undergoing surgery on her left knee on Thursday, the Poland international is not expected to return to light training for at least three months. The 23-year-old may even be sidelined for longer, with VfL set to discover the extent of her layoff at a follow-up examination in several weeks’ time.
Pajor last played for the Green-and-Whites in the Champions League final against Olympique Lyon, when she was substituted in the 61st minute.
