Opening loss for U19s

VfL’s U19 side slipped to a 2-0 defeat to Lille in their UEFA Youth League curtain-raiser.

VfL Wolfsburg’s U19 team suffered a 2-0 defeat away to OSC Lille in their opening UEFA Youth League fixture this season. Jose Manuel Bica Reis was the match-winner with a brace (24’, 90’) for the French side in a game in which the Wolves squandered several opportunities to get on the scoresheet.

The Green-and-Whites’ second assignment in the competition arrives on Wednesday 29 September at home to FC Sevilla (kick-off 16:00 CEST).
