VfL Wolfsburg Women will get the second half of their FLYERALARM Women’s Bundesliga season under way on Sunday away to SGS Essen (13:00 CET). Head coach Tommy Stroot spoke to the press ahead of the match about…

…the squad: “Jill Roord and Lisa Weiss are out, while Sara Agrez is getting some game time in her legs in the reserves. Dominique Janssen and Lena Oberdorf are both showing flu-like symptoms and might not be available.”

… SGS Essen: “They are a really well set-up team with talent to burn. Last matchday, they used their pace and attacking abilities to beat Köln 4-0. We talked about all this during the week, as speed is a real weapon of theirs.”

…VfL’s own approach: “What’s important for us is to keep a high tempo when we’re on the ball and to be accurate enough in what we do to ensure that Essen don’t manage to win back possession. What we do know though is that if we get enough of our own game right on the day, then we’ll be the ones who take home the three points.”
