Jaeckel joins Fürth

Defender Paul Jaeckel has signed for Bundesliga 2 side SpVgg Greuther Fürth.

With the summer transfer window drawing to a close, VfL Wolfsburg have agreed to sell Jaeckel to Bavarian outfit Fürth, who currently sit in eighth place in the Bundesliga 2 table.  The 20-year-old, who joined VfL from FC Energie Cottbus in 2014, made his Bundesliga debut in last season’s 2-0 victory over SC Freiburg. He went on to make two further top-flight appearances in 2017/18.

Jaeckel is the sixth player to leave the Wolves this summer following the departures of Victor Osimhen (RSC Charleroi, loan), Daniel Didavi (VfB Stuttgart), Nany Landry Dimata (RSC Anderlecht, loan), Divock Origi (Liverpool, loan return) and Max Grün (end of contract).
