Formann extends contract

VfL Wolfsburg goalkeeping coach Pascal Formann has signed a contract extension until 2022.

The 36-year-old's previous deal was due to expire at the end of the current season, but he has now put pen to paper on a three-year extension that will keep him on the Green-Whites' coaching staff until at least 2022.
Formann, who hails from Germany's North Rhine-Westphalia region, joined the Wolves in summer 2013 from the youth academy of English club Charlton Athletic. He was initially VfL's goalkeeping coach for the U15 - U19 youth teams, but worked alongside longstanding first-team goalkeeping coach Andreas Hilfiker from the 2016/17 campaign. Hilfiker became goalkeeping coordinator at the start of the 2017/18 season, leading to Formann taking on the role of first-team goalkeeping coach full time.
