Cup clash with Potsdam

The VfL Ladies face 1. FFC Turbine Potsdam in the DFB Cup quarter-finals.

The She-Wolves already have five fixtures on the calendar in March and are hoping to add a sixth on Wednesday when they face Turbine Potsdam at the AOK Stadion in the last eight of the DFB Cup (kick-off 18:00 CET). The semi-final draw will take place on Thursday at DFB headquarters, with the matches to be played on 31 March.

Schult back in the squad

While VfL's players returned from international duty without any major knocks, head coach Stephan Lerch still has a short injury list to contend with: Zsanett Jakabfi (bruising), Sara Doorsoun and Kristine Minde (both with muscular complaints) are all ruled out of the cup clash along with long-term absentee Lara Dickenmann. On a more positive note, goalkeeper Almuth Schult has returned to the squad after recovering from the measles. "We're looking forward to a fierce cup battle, a good atmosphere and playing under the floodlights at the AOK Stadion," said Lerch.
