VfL Wolfsburg Women beat promoted side RB Leipzig 4-0 at home on Monday after producing an impressive performance at the AOK Stadion. The 2,667 spectators in attendance saw an entertaining first half in which the Green-and-Whites created a number of clear-cut chances and scored twice. After the break, the She-Wolves put the game to bed with another two goals. Marina Hegering (24’), Jule Brand (40’/89’) and Sveindis Jonsdottir (56’) were on the scoresheet for VfL.
Tommy Stroot’s side only have a couple of days to recover ahead of their next fixture, away to TSG Hoffenheim on Friday 15 March (kick-off: 18:30 CET) on Matchday 16 of the Google Pixel Women’s Bundesliga.

- 1-0 Hegering (24’): VfL take the lead via a set piece as Huth curls a corner from the left high into the penalty area. Hegering is completely unmarked and chests the ball over the line.
- 2-0 Brand (40’): Oberdorf chips an eye-catching pass into Popp’s path. She takes it in her stride and lays the ball square inside the box for the unmarked Brand to slot home.
- 3-0 Jonsdottir (56’): Brand runs clear following Popp’s pass and lays the ball off for Jonsdottir, who gets the better of Leipzig’s Jenny Hipp and makes it 3-0.
- 4-0 Brand (89’): Brand gets her second goal following an impressive move. She dummies a nice pass from Wedemeyer, leaving it for Riola Xhemaili, who threads the ball through to Brand to finish into the bottom corner.
