"A nice win"

The coaches' reactions following VfL Wolfsburg's 1-0 victory at Hertha Berlin.

After starting the second half of the season with defeats against FC Schalke 04 and Bayer Leverkusen, the Wolves returned to winning ways with a 1-0 victory in the capital.

Here's what the coaches had to say afterwards...

Bruno Labbadia: "It's a nice win, and one the team really deserved. You could see how much effort my team put in against a similarly well-organised side. We moved the ball well in the first half, but didn't quite have enough in the final third – otherwise we'd have put the game to bed earlier. Hertha are a side capable of scoring from nothing but our defence stood firm throughout. We knew that it'd be a proper battle and that details could prove decisive. It was a little bit hairy in the second half because we gave the ball away too much, but all in all it's a deserved win for us."

Pal Dardai: "Due to their attitude and physical commitment, Wolfsburg were deserving winners. In terms of chances created, I don't think either side was better. Just as we were getting on top in the second half, we conceded from nothing. We didn't defend that move very well. At the end we had a chance to equalise but Wolfsburg showed they wanted the win more with their desire and physical commitment, which is why they’re deservedly going home with three points.”
