Wolves on international travels

Twelve VfL players have been called up by their respective national teams.

Following the Green-and-Whites’ 1-0 defeat at FC Augsburg, it’s the first international break of this calendar year. A total of 12 VfL players are heading off with their national teams and all of them bar Tiago Tomas, who will play two friendlies with Portugal U21s, are taking part in competitive fixtures.

Along with Wolfsburg’s Danish contingent, Konstantinos Koulierakis, Patrick Wimmer, Denis Vavro and Bence Dardai, who has earned his first call-up for Hungary, will be contesting matches in the Nations League. Jakub Kaminski and Mohammed Amoura are involved in World Cup qualifying for their countries. Meanwhile, David Odogu doesn’t have to travel far: he’s playing matches in Vorsfelde and Gifhorn with the German U19 side.
