Leading 1-0 on aggregate, VfL Wolfsburg Women are aiming to secure their place in the UEFA Women’s Champions League semi-finals with victory over Paris Saint-Germain in their quarter-final return leg at the Volkswagen Arena on Thursday 30 March (kick-off 18:45 CEST). At the press conference before the game, head coach Tommy Stroot discussed…

…personnel: "All of our players are available, which means I have a selection headache."

…potentially playing for a draw: "Following the defeat in Munich, I just want to win. I need that feeling again."

…the significance of the first-leg result: "I don't think it will play that big a role initially. Maybe it will show in small details, such as how high up the pitch the full-backs go, or whether they play with one defensive midfielder or two more attacking ones. We're assuming they'll be a bit more attack-minded than in the first leg, but they won't force the issue right from the outset. Depending on how the game goes there will be different scenarios – at some point they might go all-in."

…lessons learned from recent matches: "We want to rediscover our attacking game more and more. That's one of our objectives for tomorrow and for the coming weeks."
