The VfL Wolfsburg Women squad have spent the past week preparing for the new season at the Sporthotel Klosterpforte in Harsewinkel. Along with intense training sessions, there was a 2-1 friendly win over PSV Eindhoven.
Honoured at Volkswagen Arena
Head coach Tommy Stroot is thoroughly pleased with how the training camp went: “We had top-quality conditions and were able to work at high intensity. As well as that, we’ve improved the players’ fitness.” During the half-time break in the men’s Bundesliga match against FC Schalke 04 on Saturday, the players who took part in the Women’s EURO were honoured at the Volkswagen Arena. There will also be an event staged by the City of Wolfsburg soon.
