Yunus Malli heading to the capital

Off on loan to 1. FC Union Berlin

VfL Wolfsburg and Yunus Malli are going their separate ways, but only until the end of the season, with the midfielder heading out on loan to Bundesliga rivals 1. FC Union Berlin once he has completed a medical with his new club. The 27-year-old is the third player to leave the Wolves during the winter break,  with the most recent being Lukas Nmecha, who has joined 1. FC Köln on an 18-month loan.

Malli, who has joint German and Turkish citizenship, joined the Green and Whites in January 2017 from 1. FSV Mainz 05. He has gone on to play 81 times for the Wolves, scoring eight goals in the process. This season, the 25-time Turkish international has also appeared twice for VfL in the Europa League.
