The German Football League (DFL) released the fixture list for the new Bundesliga season on Thursday, which will open with the meeting between Borussia Mönchengladbach and defending champions Bayer 04 Leverkusen on 23 August. VfL Wolfsburg get started with a real cracker, hosting record champions FC Bayern Munich on the weekend of 24/25 August.
First away match against newcomers
On Matchday 2 (30 August to 1 September), the Wolves travel to promoted side Holstein Kiel. Following the international break at the start of September, Eintracht Frankfurt are the visitors to the Volkswagen Arena (13 to 15 September). VfL then face champions Leverkusen away on Matchday 4 (20 to 22 September).
