Reaction
Ralph HasenhĂŒttl: âIt was a typical cup match, with an underdog who raised their game and a higher-quality team who didnât reach their full potential. We started very well, scored the first goal and had chances to get a second before half-time, against opponents who defended with passion and gave us little space. We did well enough after the break, but if you donât score the second goal your opponents keep hoping until the end. It wasnât easy on that pitch, but I still expect more from my team. That said, weâre obviously delighted to be in the next round.â
Michael Stahl: âI donât feel any disappointment at all. I told the lads before the game that itâs all about believing until the last moment, without thinking about the result. Thatâs just the type of performance we delivered. When I look back on this special evening one day, Iâll do so with a smile. Thatâs why Iâm going home a happy man. I donât want to speak about the game too much â everyone saw it, after all. On behalf of my team, I can only thank everyone who helped make this wonderful night possible.â
