Wolves play Fortnite

Maximilian Philipp and Lino Kasten to take part in Tuesday’s livestream event.

VfL players Maximilian Philipp and Lino Kasten will be in unfamiliar surroundings on Tuesday 26 January, as they take part in a charity streaming event hosted by well-known Fortnite streamer Amar at 19:00 CET. Together with VfL’s e-sportsmen, the Wolves duo will be up against Bundesliga rivals Borussia Mönchengladbach, who will be represented by Stefan Lainer and Valentino Lazaro. Viewers will be able to make donations during the stream, with all proceeds going to a charity of Borussia and VfL’s choosing.

The Wolves will try to get the better of their opponents in a number of challenges set on the virtual playing field. The teams will don the shirts of their respective clubs, after the skins of 23 international football sides – including VfL – were made available in the Fortnite store last Sunday. VfL fans are in for another special treat: just like the Borussia-Park, the Wolves’ very own Volkswagen Arena has been integrated into the popular co-op survival shooter by publishers Epic Games. You won’t want to miss it!
