After nine years in the green and white shirt, Ewa Pajor will leave VfL Wolfsburg at the end of the season at her own request to look for a new challenge abroad. The 27-year-old Poland international is exercising a release clause in her contract. Together with other players whose time with the She-Wolves comes to an end this summer, she will be given an official send-off during the final match of the season at home to SGS Essen on Monday 20 May.
134 goals for VfL
Pajor joined Wolfsburg from her local Polish club Medyk Konin in summer 2015 as an 18-year-old. Since then, she has played 120 games for the Green-and-Whites in the Google Pixel Women’s Bundesliga, 29 in the DFB Cup and 46 in the UEFA Women’s Champions League. Pajor has won the DFB Cup in all nine of her seasons with the She-Wolves, not to mention five league titles. The striker has scored a total of 134 goals for the club to date, and with 15 goals in 21 Women’s Bundesliga games this season, she is on the verge of winning the top scorer prize, an award she previously won in 2018/19. Pajor has also been in four Champions League finals with the Green-and-Whites – in 2015/16, 2017/18, 2019/20 and 2022/23.
“Wolfsburg my second home”
“Every game in this shirt has been an honour for me,” reflected Pajor. “I’m very proud and grateful for everything that we’ve experienced and won together. During my time here, I’ve learned a lot and grown as a footballer and person. I’ll never forget that and will carry it with me for the rest of my career. Many thanks to the whole club, my coaches, all the staff, my teammates who have always supported me, and of course the fans. Wolfsburg will always remain in my heart and my second home.”
