The 2024/25 campaign is coming to an end but preparations for the new season are already in full swing. The Wolves head into their summer break after their Matchday 34 assignment, with key dates already earmarked for pre-season.
The men’s first team will undergo performance tests on 7 and 8 July in Wolfsburg, ahead of the first full training session on 9 July. The Green-and-Whites will have a training camp in Weimarer Land from 20 – 26 July, while the VfL Fan Festival and Kids Day will take place on Sunday 10 August, shortly before the team’s first competitive game of 2025/26.
Friendlies in the works
A number of friendly matches are currently being planned as part of VfL’s pre-season preparations. The opposition, dates and kick-off times will be confirmed in good time.
Bundesliga kick-off in mid-August
The DFB Cup first-round fixtures will be held between 15 - 18 August and the new 2025/26 Bundesliga season will begin a week later from 22 - 24 August.
