Van de Ven joins Wolves

The 20-year-old centre-back has signed a contract until 2025.

VfL Wolfsburg have made another new signing with the capture of Micky van de Ven from Dutch second-division side FC Volendam on a four-year contract through to 2025. The centre-back, who was recently named in the Dutch U21 provisional squad for the first time, came through the youth ranks at Volendam, before establishing himself in the first team.

“We’re really pleased that we managed to sign Micky van de Ven in the final stages of the transfer window,” said VfL sporting director Marcel Schäfer. “As a young player who is hungry for success and ready to perform, he fits our requirements perfectly and we’re convinced he’s a long way from reaching the end of his development. He has great potential and we’re very much looking forward to continuing on our successful path with him on board.”
