Twelve She-Wolves on international duty

Germany will bid farewell to three VfL Women players.

VfL Women signed off for the international break with a 2-0 win over SGS Essen on Sunday. Twelve members of the She-Wolves’ squad will be on their travels with their national teams over the coming days.

Big send-off in Duisburg

Jule Brand, Sarai Linder and Janina Minge have been named in new Germany head coach Christian Wück’s first squad, with Vivien Endemann also being called up on Tuesday to replace Lea Schüller. Two friendlies are scheduled: first against England at London’s Wembley Stadium on Friday 25 October at 20:30 CEST, and three days later against Australia in Duisburg at 18:10 CET. Alexandra Popp will represent the German national team on the pitch for one last time in this game and say her goodbye. The DFB will also honour Merle Frohms and Marina Hegering, who like Popp recently retired from international football.
