Anna-Lena Stolze will not be returning to VfL Wolfsburg when her loan spell at FC Twente finishes at the end of this month. The 21-year-old’s contract with the She-Wolves, which ran until 30 June 2023, has been terminated and she has penned a deal with the Dutch champions until 30 June 2024. The attacker initially joined Twente on loan in January 2020 until the end of the 2020/21 season. The loan was extended by another season in June 2021, coupled with an extension of her contract at Wolfsburg.
Ralf Kellermann, VfL Women sporting director, said: “Anna-Lena has developed into a first-team regular at a top Dutch club in the last two years, and we’re very pleased that she’s already won two Dutch titles. In light of the competition for places in our squad, Anna-Lena expressed a wish to continue at FC Twente and end her contract with VfL Wolfsburg. We granted that request and now wish her the best of luck for her onward career.”
