Pascal Formann to remain a Wolf

VfL goalkeeper coach signs early contract extension.

Pascal Formann has committed himself to the Wolves, signing an early contract extension with VfL Wolfsburg. “We are delighted that Pascal is staying with us,” said VfL sporting director Sebastian Schindzielorz. “We have every faith in his work and are convinced that he will be able to continue that by taking our new squad of goalkeepers to the highest level.”

Working with VfL Wolfsburg and the players they have had up until now has been something that I’ve really enjoyed, and the new squad of goalkeepers will provide some exciting challenges.

“Working with VfL Wolfsburg and the players they have had up until now has been something that I’ve really enjoyed, and the new squad of goalkeepers will provide some exciting challenges,” said Formann. “I would like to thank the management for the trust they have shown in my work and I am really looking forward to continuing my day-to-day commitment to the coaching staff.”

Formann, 41, joined the Green-and-Whites in July 2013, initially working as goalkeeper coach with the VfL Football Academy. Since summer 2017, he has had sole responsibility for training the first-team goalkeeping squad.
