“No easing off”

After reaching the UWCL semi-finals, VfL Women take on SV Werder Bremen.

VfL Wolfsburg Women are still basking in the afterglow of advancing to the semi-finals of the UEFA Women's Champions League, yet their next assignment is already on the horizon. Three days after the 1-1 draw against Paris Saint-Germain in the second leg of their quarter-final tie, the She-Wolves host SV Werder Bremen on Sunday 2 April (kick-off: 16:00 CEST). …personnel: “In principle, all the players are available but there will be a couple of changes due to workload management. I'm thinking about Obi, for example, who's played a lot after her injury. That’s what I’m thinking about.”

…the opposition's strengths: “One of their strengths is certainly that they know what their qualities are and that they make the right decisions based on that. I can see a big improvement at Werder compared to last season. They can be very awkward to play against.”

…switching focus after the Champions League: “Our position in the league table is self-explanatory – we have to win this game. We know that Bayern's win changed the panorama. This is now the challenge we're facing, and we don't have any thoughts whatsoever about easing off.”
