During the Lady-Wolves 1-0 win on Saturday, VfL goal-getter Ella Masar suffered a nasal fracture. In a challenge with a Turbine player, Masar took an elbow to the nose, thus incurring the injury. This coming Friday, April 6th, the striker will undergo surgery, to correct the damage. Masar will continue to participate in training and match-play operations wearing a specially fitted protective mask, which she will be required to don for five to six weeks, and will so not further add to the Lady-Wolves injury list. The Green-Whites had previously lost Babett Peter and Vanessa Bernauer as long-term absentees.
