Luca Waldschmidt is moving from VfL Wolfsburg to Bundesliga rivals 1. FC Köln. The Wolves have agreed a loan deal with the Billy Goats until 30 June 2024.

The 27-year-old attacker joined the Wolves from Portuguese giants Benfica in August 2021. Waldschmidt has made 37 appearances (six goals, two assists) in all competitions during his two seasons with the Green-and-Whites, 16 of them from the start. The seven-time Germany international previously played in the Bundesliga for SC Freiburg, Hamburger SV and Eintracht Frankfurt.
