VfL Wolfsburg have been running the integration project 'Learn and Kick' since December 2017, alongside SSV Vorsfelde, the City of Wolfsburg and VfL 'Gemeinsam Bewegen' (Moving Together) partner KERN Group. The initiative is part of Wolfsburg’s 'Willkommen im Fußball' (Welcome to Football) alliance and is intended to help refugees' integration. A total of 24 meet-ups, combining language lessons and football, were offered.

The last 'Learn and Kick' event took place on Wednesday. VfL striker Nany Landry Dimata stopped by for a visit and was soon involved in the classroom at the AOK Stadium. The students eagerly posed questions in German, with Dimata likewise replying in German – all under the watchful eye of teacher Corda Marwede, who is also Dimata's language teacher. The group then headed out to play football in the Hygia X-Perience Park, instructed by coach Peter Pöche from SSV Vorsfelde and the ‘Wolfsburger Freizeitliga’.
