The knee injury that Lena Oberdorf suffered during the She-Wolves’ DFB Cup semi-final win at FC Bayern Munich is fortunately not as serious as first feared. During an extensive examination, a severe sprain in the right knee was diagnosed but no serious structural damage was detected. The 20-year-old midfielder will not be able to play in the UEFA Women’s Champions League semi-final matches against FC Barcelona. Further prognoses are dependent on how the injury heals.
