On Saturday, May 26th, VfL honoured the thirteenth anniversary of the passing of Krzysztof Nowak. In remembrance of the "Number 10 of our Hearts", Nowak’s widow, children and other members of the former midfielder’s family gathered, along with VfL general manager Wolfgang Hotze and other club officials, as well as representatives of the fan-body Supporters Wolfsburg at the cemetery 'Waldfriedhof' in Wolfsburg on Tuesday. In memory of Kowak’s untimely death in 2005, a wreath was laid at the grave.
Unforgettable
The annual gathering at the graveside of the never-to-be-forgotten Green-White symbolises that Nowak, who suffered from the incurable disease of the nervous-system, Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), is now and will forever be a member of the VfL Wolfsburg family.
