VfL Wolfsburg Women remain firmly in the driving seat in the FLYERALARM Women’s Bundesliga title race after producing a magnificent performance to beat FC Bayern Munich 6-0 and move four points clear of their nearest rivals on Matchday 19.
Svenja Huth, Joelle Wedemeyer, Tabea Waßmuth, Alexandra Popp, Lena Oberdorf and Ewa Pajor got the goals for the six-time German champions in front of 3,037 spectators at the AOK Stadion. The She-Wolves need just two more victories to clinch title number seven.
The two giants of German women’s football renew acquaintances after the upcoming international break, when the Green-and-Whites travel to the FC Bayern Campus for the DFB Cup semi-final on Easter Sunday (17 April, kick-off 12:30 CEST).
