Bruno Labbadia takes charge

New VfL head-coach to host his first training session at 16:00 CET.

Bruno Labbadia takes over as head-coach of VfL Wolfsburg with immediate effect. On Tuesday morning, VfL agreed terms with the 52 year old, who has signed a contract with the Wolves until summer 2019. "We are delighted to have won over Bruno Labbadia for VfL. We now must all look to the future and approach the challenges ahead calmly and determinedly," insisted VfL general-manager Dr. Tim Schumacher. Director of Sport Olaf Rebbe: "Bruno Labbadia is a very experienced coach, who has proven his qualities in the Bundesliga on many occasions."

Bruno Labbadia will take charge of the training session at 16:00 CET on Tuesday afternoon. "I feel, good, relaxed and I am very much looking forward to the collaboration with my new team," stated Labbadia. The former top Bundesliga striker has previously been through stations at Bayer Leverkusen, VfB Stuttgart and Hamburger SV in his top-flight coaching career.
