Good news for VfL Wolfsburg and Jeffrey Bruma: during the course of a training session last week, the centre-back briefly lost consciousness but has since received the green light to return to training from the doctors.
On Friday morning, the Dutch defender did some light jogging on the grounds at the VfL-Center and is expected to make a return to full training shortly. The cause of the incident was a viral infection.
Due to a previously identified enlargement of the heart muscle (‘athlete’s heart’), Bruma has undergone extensive cardiac examinations over the past few days in order to rule out any heart defect.
