Big win under the floodlights

VfL Women won 6-1 in their top-of-the-table clash with Bayer 04 Leverkusen.

VfL Wolfsburg Women are the FLYERALARM Women’s Bundesliga leaders going into the international break having won the Matchday 3 opener 6-1 against Bayer 04 Leverkusen.

Both teams went into the game having won each of their previous two assignments so far this season, but a double from Sveindis Jonsdottir as well as efforts from Jill Roord, Ewa Pajor, Lena Oberdorf and Felicitas Rauch gave the reigning double winners victory in front of a crowd of 2,619 fans at the AOK Stadion.

The team’s next match is away to. FFC Turbine Potsdam on Saturday 15 October (kick-off 13:01 CEST).
