Back on track

VfL Women beat Eintracht Frankfurt 3-0 in Friday’s Bundesliga home match.

VfL Wolfsburg Women head into the final international break of the year on the back of a comfortable victory. The She-Wolves, who are currently second in the FLYERALARM Women’s Bundesliga, beat Eintracht Frankfurt 3-0 at the AOK Stadion on Friday evening. Joelle Wedemeyer, Lena Oberdorf and Lena Goeßling got the goals for VfL.

Stephan Lerch’s side return to Bundesliga action on Sunday 13 December (kick-off 13:00 CET), when they take on SV Werder Bremen. Before then, however, they face MSV Duisburg on Sunday 6 December (14:00 CET) in the DFB Cup last 16.

“Snappy and aggressive”

VfL head coach Stephan Lerch: “We’re pleased to be going into the international break with a win – that was our plan. We were snappy and aggressive right from the first minute. It was a very important win today for our morale and motivation.”
