Another stalemate

VfL Wolfsburg’s second friendly of the winter period also ended all square, with the Wolves drawing 2-2 at Premier League side Brentford in their final game of 2022. Luca Waldschmidt (13’) and Dzenan Pejcinovic (67’) got the goals for the Green-and-Whites at the London club’s new training complex, the Robert Rowan Performance Centre. After a brief Christmas break, starting on 23 December, the Wolves begin their preparations for the rest of the campaign on 2 January.

“We head into next week with a good feeling”

VfL head coach Niko Kovac: "It was important for us to end the second week of training with a game. We’re satisfied with the result and with the way the team performed against Brentford. Almost all the players got minutes, so we can head into the next week of training with a good feeling before going on another break.”
