Wout Weghorst takes Dutch visitors by surprise!

A group of Dutch students visited VfL Wolfsburg as part of a tour of Germany.

Dico de Boer, Sofian Kluft and Roy Metselaar spent their summer holidays travelling nearly 4,000 kilometres in ten days and visiting 30 stadiums from the top three divisions of German football. The three teenagers from the Netherlands are currently on a tour of German football grounds and stopped off at Wolfsburg on Thursday 23 August, when they toured the Volkswagen Arena, enjoying the customary entrance music and wolf howls. After taking some souvenir photos, the trio headed to the VfL FußballWelt, the club's interactive exhibition.

There, they had an unexpected treat as they took part in the press conference prior to the Wolves' opening Bundesliga game against FC Schalke 04. After that, the group received a surprise visit from VfL summer signing and fellow Dutchman Wout Weghorst, who chatted to Dico, Sofian and Roy before the first team's afternoon training session. It was a special moment for the boys, and one that naturally had to be photographed before they departed for Braunschweig and Hanover.

On Friday 24 August, the Dutch triumvirate will complete their trip with tours of Hamburger SV, St. Pauli, Werder Bremen and VfL Osnabrück before returning home to the stadium of their beloved SC Telstar.
