Wolf tracks on Wednesday

Training camp start on Thursday / Double header against Augsburg.

Off to Portugal: On Thursday the VfL first team head off to Portugal for their winter training camp in Almancil, which will host the Wolves for the third time after doing so in 2019 and 2020. Head coach Niko Kovac will lead a training session in Wolfsburg in the morning before the team travel to Portugal in the afternoon for their eight-day camp, after which they will return home on 13 January. 

During their time in the Algarve, the Green-and-Whites will fine tune their preparations for the resumption of the 2022/23 Bundesliga season at home to SC Freiburg on 21 January. Kovac's charges will also face Bundesliga rivals TSG 1899 Hoffenheim in a friendly while in Portugal.

Augsburg double header: The Wolves have two more friendlies lined up after the camp. They will face fellow Bundesliga outfit FC Augsburg away on Saturday 14 January: the first game will take place on the club's training pitches (kick-off: 13:00 CET) before a second encounter at the WWK Arena (kick-off 15:00 CET). Both matches will be streamed live on FCA-TV for a fee, while Wölfe TV will show highlights on Sunday.
