Wolf tracks on Friday

Baggage galore / Injury in training

The Wolves have been at a training camp in Almancil, Portugal, since Thursday as they prepare for the second half of the season.

Travelling light?: A total of 197 pieces of luggage were transported in the cargo hold of the Airbus A320 that took the Wolves to Portugal. This included not only the personal suitcases of the players and their fans, but also numerous cases containing team gear, training equipment and other essential items, combining for a total weight of 2,811 kilograms. Upon landing, numerous helpers made sure everything was stowed in the buses and ready to go less than an hour after touching down.

Short trip: The VfL party was welcomed by Tiago Tomas when they arrived at the Conrad Algarve hotel. The Portugal U21 international spent the winter break with friends and family in Lisbon, before driving with his parents to Almancil. “They’re going to spend a few days near here with an uncle,” the VfL striker said.

Cause for concern:Mohamed Amoura had to cut short Friday’s training session after falling on his shoulder following a tackle. As a precaution, the Algerian forward subsequently did not return to the pitch but immediately received treatment in the hotel and will be placed under observation.
