"Totally ready for Wolfsburg"

Malmö coach Jon Dahl Tomasson’s press conference ahead of the Europa League tie.

After Oliver Glasner and Xaver Schlager faced the press early in the afternoon to talk about Thursday’s UEFA Europa League first leg against Malmö FF (kick-off: 21:00 CET), the Swedish team’s coach, Jon Dahl Tomasson, and defender Rasmus Bengtsson did their duty early in the evening.

Jon Dahl Tomasson on…

…the current state of the team: We don’t quite know where we stand at the moment, but we’ve prepared well. The lads have trained hard and I can feel that we’ve got a lot of energy. We’ve now got a big match ahead of us. We want to take a lot of momentum into tomorrow’s tie and get a result for us and for the fans who are travelling to support us.

…the first leg against VfL: I’ve got a good feeling, not least because a lot of fans are making the long journey to Germany to support us. That demonstrates what kind of club we are and how solid we are. It’s 180 minutes over the two legs, so we need to keep the tie alive for as long as we can.

…VfL Wolfsburg: We’re totally ready for Wolfsburg. I played in the Bundesliga myself and also watched a lot of matches when I was with the Danish FA. We’re aware that it’s a good league and we know each of the VfL players. We also know what formation Wolfsburg will play and the tactics they’ll use.
