VfL Wolfsburg extend Klinger deal

Keeper signs one-year extension.

The Wolves have extended goalkeeper Niklas Klinger’s contract by a further 12 months, tying him to the club until 30 June 2021. Born in Wolfsburg, Klinger has worn the VfL jersey for 17 years now. “Niklas Klinger is a reliable player who is still developing. It’s great that we are going to continue down the same path together," said sporting director Marcel Schäfer.

“My club“

“VfL Wolfsburg are my club and I’m delighted with the contract extension and the trust being shown in me,” said Klinger, who has been with the Wolves since 2003. “I have not yet fully realised my potential, so I’m happy that I get to stay here at Bundesliga level.”
