Trip to the Netherlands

The Wolves travel to Feyenoord in their second pre-season friendly on 2 August.

Following confirmation of the traditional AZ/WAZ match against a Beck’s XI, VfL Wolfsburg’s second pre-season friendly of the summer is now set in stone. On Saturday 2 August (16:30 CEST), the Wolves travel to 16-time Dutch champions Feyenoord, who are currently coached by club legend Robin van Persie. The Rotterdam club last won the Eredivisie title in 2022/23 and ended the 2024/25 season in third place behind Ajax and champions PSV Eindhoven.

Traditional season opener at Feyenoord’s ‘De Kuip’

For Feyenoord, the game against the Green-and-Whites is the dress rehearsal for the 2025/26 campaign. The hosts’ final friendly of pre-season is traditionally held at ‘De Kuip’ (‘The Tub’), their 47,500-capacity home ground. The likes of Atletico Madrid (2021), Olympique Lyon (2022), Benfica (2023) and AS Monaco (2024) have all played in this fixture in recent years. Information on tickets and live stream details will be announced in the near future.
