Title award ceremony after Leverkusen game

VfL Women to be crowned as champions following this weekend’s game against Leverkusen.

The VfL Wolfsburg Women will receive the FLYERALARM Women’s Bundesliga trophy in the official championship award ceremony after their game at home to Bayer 04 Leverkusen on Sunday 28 June 2020 (kick-off 14:00 CEST).

Two ceremonies at full time

After the match, 26-goal attacker Pernille Harder will be presented with the FLYERALARM Women’s Bundesliga’s top scorer award for this season. Subsequently, the official Meisterschale title handover will take place, with DFB vice president Hannelore Ratzeburg to present the prize to the defending champions in accordance with all hygiene and distancing regulations.

Farewell to Gunnarsdottir

Having missed the goalless draw in Munich last week, striker Ewa Pajor will again be absent from the final league game of 2019/20 with a slight knock. The fixture also represents the last match in VfL colours for Sara Gunnarsdottir, whose future club did not agree to the request of both the player herself and VfL to extend the Iceland international’s contract – which expires on 30 June – until the DFB Cup final.
