Following Babett Peter and Meret Wittje, who were forced to prematurely part with the German ‚A' national team and Under 19 teams respectively through injury, now Vanessa Bernauer has also been side-lined. The Swiss international incurred a knee injury during the clash with Wales in the Cyprus Women's Cup and has been forced to return to Wolfsburg for a more extensive examination.

"We hope Vanessa won't be out of the reckoning for too long. It's just more bad news for us to have to deal with. It's extremely frustrating to have three internationals returning to us injured.
